Tisha Mesa Shull, LCMHC
Tisha (pronounced Tee-sha) Shull is a seasoned psychotherapist, clinical trainer, and IFS consultant with over a decade of experience specializing in complex trauma, anxiety disorders, and mind-body healing. As the co-founder of IFS Vermont, she is dedicated to supporting clinicians through training, supervision, and mentorship, integrating Internal Family Systems (IFS), somatic therapy, cranial sacral therapy, yoga, and past life regression to help clients and clinicians access deeper layers of their inner worlds.
Before she was a counselor, Tisha worked in the trades as a carpenter and tile mason – working simultaneously to promote skills for female-identifying individuals in trade work. Tisha brings a grounded, experiential perspective to therapeutic work. She believes that healing is not just about insight but embodied experience.
Tisha is an IFS Institute Assistant Trainer and independently leads retreats, workshops, and specialized trainings focused on embodying Self-energy in challenging times. Born in the Virgin Islands and raised in Vermont, she values the power of community, creativity, and nature in the healing process.
She shares her life with her daughter and her dog, Zeke, who reminds her daily of the simple joy of presence. Whether she’s guiding a deep parts process, leading an IFS training, or building something with her hands, Tisha brings warmth, wisdom, and enthusiasm to everything she does.
