Introduction to Internal Family Systems (IFS)
A Two Part Online Workshop with Tisha Mesa Shull, LPC, LCMHC

Dates: July 14 and July 28
Time: 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM EST
Cost: $145 for both sessions

Have you ever felt pulled in different directions by different parts of yourself? One part wants to move forward while another holds back. One part seeks connection while another fears being hurt. Internal Family Systems (IFS) offers a compassionate and transformative way of understanding these inner experiences.

In this introductory two part workshop, participants will learn the foundational concepts of the IFS model developed by Richard Schwartz. Together we will explore the idea that the mind is naturally made up of distinct inner parts, each with its own feelings, beliefs, and protective strategies. Beneath these parts lies the Self, an innate source of wisdom, compassion, clarity, and healing.

Through teaching, discussion, experiential exercises, and guided meditations, participants will learn:

• The basic principles of Internal Family Systems
• The roles of Managers, Firefighters, and Exiles
• How protective parts develop and why they persist
• The qualities of Self energy and Self leadership
• Practical ways to begin relating to parts with curiosity and compassion
• How IFS can support healing, emotional regulation, and personal growth

This workshop is appropriate for therapists, coaches, helping professionals, and anyone interested in gaining a deeper understanding of themselves and others.

No prior experience with IFS is required.

Whether you are new to the model or curious about how IFS can support your own healing journey, this workshop offers an accessible and experiential introduction to one of the most influential therapeutic approaches of our time.

Space is limited.

Please note: This is an educational workshop and does not constitute psychotherapy or a therapeutic relationship. CE's are not available through Tisha, but a Syllabus will be provided to apply on your own - which works with most licensing bodies.

Qualifications: Tisha is a LCMHC, LPC, trauma specialist, and Assistant Trainer with the IFS Institute. She is a Certified Level 3 Trained IFS therapist and has lead many workshops and IFS Trainings

"The goal of Internal Family Systems therapy is not to eliminate parts of you but to help them transform. Your parts are not your enemy; they are protectors who took on extreme roles to keep you safe. When you approach them with curiosity and compassion, rather than fear or judgment, they soften. They begin to trust that your Self can lead, and they no longer have to carry their burdens alone."    - Richard Schwartz
